This particular coffee comes from a collection of 252 producers across the western departments of El Paraiso, Santa Barbara, Lempira, Copan and Ocotepeque and was designed to meet a cup profile that’s sweet and fruity, with a caramel aroma and a bright acidity.
Farmers from these regions participate in the Guara Selection program, which aims to educate producers in the surrounding regions on the key areas of coffee production. With the main focus on improving speciality coffee cultivation techniques, harvesting and processing protocol, every year, the cup quality from the region improves greatly.
