Kolarkhan Estate was established in 1890 in Chikmagalur, a hill station and the first site of coffee cultivation in India. In the 1980’s, the estate was sold to Rudolf Mascarenhas, transferring ownership back to a resident of the Karnataka region and away from colonial ties.
The Estate spans across 540 acres, where both Arabica and Robusta varietals are grown in conjunction with arecanut, pepper, cardamom and vanilla. Lying adjacent to the Periyar Tiger Reserve, the Estate is neighbours with one of the richest biodiversity spots of the Western Ghats.
This smooth and creamy speciality coffee is perfect for folks looking for a spicy medium to strong intensity espresso that compliments milk beautifully.
