This particular coffee comes from a collection of 252 producers across the western departments of El Paraiso, Santa Barbara, Lempira, Copan and Ocotepeque and was designed to meet a cup profile that’s sweet and fruity, with a caramel aroma and a bright acidity!
Guara Verde, or green macaw, is a nod to Honduras’ national bird and is brought to us from Becamo and their specialty coffee division. Farmers from these regions participate in the Guara Selection program, which aims to educate producers in the surrounding regions on the key areas of coffee production. Soil management, harvest & fermentation techniques and processing techniques are examples of areas where Becamo agronomists have paired up with farmers to achieve high quality yields. With the main focus on improving speciality coffee cultivation techniques, harvesting and processing protocol, the cup quality from the region improves greatly every year.
With delicate notes of blackberry, white peach & almond butter, this coffee is perfect for espresso or a milk based coffee.
