This coffee sourced from the Guji Zone in Ethiopia is a testament to the rich coffee heritage and captivating flavours of the birthplace of coffee. Ethiopia is known for possessing diverse coffee varieties as well as having serious historical significance in the coffee world. This bean is no exception, unique in quality and taste profile.
One of the defining features of this coffee is that it has undergone the washed processing method. After being selectively handpicked at optimal ripeness, the coffee cherries undergo washing and fermentation to remove the mucilage. This process results in a cleaner, brighter, and more refined flavour profile, allowing the coffee's distinctive qualities to shine.
The Guji’s flavour profile is both vibrant and multifaceted. When brewed, it presents an array of floral and fruity notes and often showcases a bright, citrus-like acidity, complemented by floral undertones and a subtle sweetness - resulting in a brilliantly balanced cup.
With tasting notes of black tea, almond & white peach, we recommend this coffee as an espresso which can be paired both with and without milk.
